Withyham Church community are keen supporters of Family Support Work (FSW). This is a charity working with vulnerable children & families across Sussex to overcome their difficulties & prevent crisis, supporting families struggling with issues such as poverty, ill-health, learning difficulties, bereavement, family break-up & domestic abuse. FSW was set up in 1890 & is run by the Diocese of Chichester.

Support includes practical help, food boxes, parenting strategies, gifts at Christmas & birthdays, structured play activities, holidays, home visits with 1-to-1 intensive support & weekly drop-in sessions.
 
Withyham Church members generously provide gifts at Christmas, Harvest and at other times.
 
There is a dedicated Family Support Practitioner for the Rotherfield Deanery, which reaches from Flimwell in the east to Coleman’s Hatch in the west and includes the town of Crowborough.
